Red Mountain Mini Dachshunds

We are located in Washington State on thirty-eight beautiful acres, where all of our pups are born and raised. We imprint our puppies from birth and handle them every day, several times a day to ensure that they are well socialized and ready to join their new family! They love to snuggle. We handle all of our pups like they are going to homes with children. Red Mountain pups are introduced to new variables and environments in order to grow their confidence and development. As a result, we get very confident puppies that are ready to blend into their new families. 

We are dedicated to breeding high quality, healthy dogs with great dispositions. Our dogs are very friendly and loving and make wonderful companions. We take pride in the cleanliness of our facility, ensuring that each pup we raise is well taken care of in a clean and comfortable environment. 

Our pups are very beautiful and unique. We believe that it is important to have a pup that you can be proud of, but looks are nothing if you don't have great genetics! And we do. That's why we make sure that health is first in our breeding program.

Potty Training: Our puppies are born inside our home and when they outgrow their whelping box they are introduced to a new area where they can play with toys. They have bedding on one side and Pine Chips on the other side so that they learn to go to the bathroom on Pine Chips. This is very helpful with potty training in the future. They look for the Pine chip potty box when they need to “go.”

AKC Registration and Breeding your dog: All of our puppies come with AKC registration papers. We sell puppies with limited registration papers, which means you may not breed the dog. This does not limit your dog in any way from participating in AKC show events or any other organized event. 

Breeders: If you are specifically looking for an animal for a breeding program we are always open to talking with Breeders and discussing our requirements for a full registration.

Outside Breedings: Red Mountain Mini Dachshunds has beautiful males at stud. Our stud service for outside females is available to approved females. Please call us in advance of your dog coming into heat so that we can accommodate you when that time comes for your female to be bred. We can discuss fee and logistics before hand so that things go seamlessly when your female comes into heat. Costs for stud service vary depending on which stud is being used. All offspring must be sold on a limited registration unless previously arranged.

Puppy Pick Day: A litter of five puppies may all look the same but they are all different in personality. We are very careful to get to know each puppy’s personality. We spend lots of time with our puppies socializing them and introducing them to new things to see how they react. This has been a huge benefit to our clients because we can help you navigate the process of choosing a puppy. We spend so much time with these little ones and we want you to have a best fit for your family. There will be no other clients here while you are picking out your puppy. You will have the full facility at your disposal. You may spend time with the pups, playing with them with toys to determine which puppy is the best fit for you and your family, and of course we are here to help! Our facility is 100% ADA accessible for our clients.

I Want A Puppy From Red Mountain! How Do I Get Started? We require a $300.00 Non­ Refundable deposit to hold your place in line for a puppy. Your position for a pick in the litter is determined by when your deposit arrives. If we do not produce the color or gender of your choice, we will refund your deposit or let it ride on a future litter. The choice is yours. The full cost of the puppy is due the day of pick up and we require cash on the balance on the day of pick up. Puppies being transported out of state must be paid for well in advance of shipping. Our breedings are carefully selected so if you are considering a Red Mountain Dachshund please call us today. Usually our litters are sold before the puppies are ever born. Not all of our breedings are listed... we do have some breedings that may not be advertised so please call us for updates on “what's new” at Red Mountain. 

Cost Of Puppy: Our litters are not all the same price. The cost is determined on the breeding itself. (The pedigree of the animals being bred are considered, and if the breeding was natural or if an artificial insemination, or surgical implant were required). Also, the ability to reproduce the breeding. (Some breedings are done with frozen semen with dogs that are exceptional and the breeding may not be able to be done again). Rare breedings cost more.

Vaccinations and Worming:
*Our puppies are vaccinated at 6 weeks, 9 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, and rabies at 16 weeks.
*Our puppies are wormed at 15 days, 6 weeks and 8 weeks of age with Panacur. 
*Our puppies are available to go to their new homes at 8 weeks old.

There are occasions when our clients are looking for a certain color or a time frame for getting a puppy, and we may not have a litter on the ground at that time. When this happens, I have been asked if there are other breeders that I would recommend. It has been difficult to find a breeder that holds to the same standards of quality that we do… until now!
